Ok, I was getting my baseline dyno run done today for the ZZP rocker install..
and I have my number 176.6 HP
somewhat dissapointing.. but, not too bad..
(see mods below)
The thing that sucks more is the RPM numbers on the graph are all out of wack.. they are like 50% of what they shuld be.. ex 5k rpm is 2.5 on the sheet..
This is due to something in the ignition system..
I talked to Jason McAllister (member of this forum) about it and he said that our ignition systems has a 2 spark system that includes a "waste spark" that could be totaly confusing the dyno.. Is this true?
The solution he found was to isolate a single plug wire from everthing else with cardboard as a devider.. (They did not try this at the shop)..
Anyway, has anyone else had this kind of problem on a dyno?? anything similar?? what did you do to correct it??
The friggin' shop is not beaing to cool about it either.. but they are a-holes and all they want is more of my money.. I will be returning to them for my post install dyno run for the ZZP rocker kit.. but I dont have much intention of going there again after that..
let me know what you all think
