Its because we have a waste spark ignition and he should have set his counter to use that mode instead of normal DIS... Its a little odd but mine came out fine after he did it for me

If you even got a torque reading, the dyno isn't at fault. If your dyno looked like a big pile of crap, then it messed up. Here's mine.

Notice that because of the screw up it started at 3400 RPM.

OK, I just got home from my second baseline run.. Heffners perfromance in glen burnie MD is the Hizzy.. They got my runs down perfect! no problems at all after we got the dynos software calibrated correctly!

Unfortunatly it will be a few days (maybe friday/tommarow) before i will get the sheets scanned and posted on my website..

anyway.. here is how it went
hp/torque
first run: 178.5/206.0
second run: 181.7/209.9 (let car cool for 5 mins)
third run: 184.7/215.0 (let car cool for 10 mins)

Moral of the story cool engine -> more power..

I am super happy with these #'s (fluffy happy even)!!

Ok, so now that i am back on target the zzp rocker install is still set up for the 21st.. and the post dyno will be done the following week..

Later yall
~Billy

It was $75 for 3 runs.. and 25$ extra if you want to test air fuel..

I liked the shop.. the guys are cool..

DONT go to altered atmoshphere in gaithersburg MD.. they are the people who f-ed me..

If you want to go between 24th-28th.. let me know and i will arrange to go with you.. that is when i will be getting my 2nd set of runs..

Very nice info.
Maybe it is me but your dyno runs look choppy?
Might be an air/fuel mixture that could be adjusted.
There might be some more power in that car w/ a bit of tuning.

Keep us updated on the results!!!

I dont know.. It does look a little chopy now that I look at it.. Hmm.. well.. I know alot of dyno's are set to do averaging that makes the lines smoother then they could ever be in real life.. maybe this was not set up?

I checked out my AF a while back and that all looked great.. nice and flat with a slow steady decline on the graph.. so.. i dunno.. I will get the AF testing next time.. that way yall can look at it..

I've heard a lot of good things about Heffeners. They do a lot of work on F-bodies there, I might have to take my car up there and check it out.

Quick update on the install:

It WILL be done tommarow
its raining here now, but tommarow it shuld be warm and clear! because we work outside.. under the ghetto tree (not the shade tree)..

Anyway.. I only have one more concern..
It involves how to properly torque the rockers down.. all the instuctions say.. torque it down then add 90 deg's.. but there has been alot of talk about dry running the engine then re torquing...

Anyone want to tell me the correct method and torque specs?

Later,
Bill

later,
Bill

I doubt you will find anything searching the net.. I appiciate your help though.. This was discussed a while ago but I still dont know what to belive and why..

The instuctions say.. torque to like 11 ft/lbs.. and then add 90 degrees..

some people seem to belive that you shuld torque to 11.. stop.. turn the engine.. re-torque.. and then do the 90 degrees..

I dont know what to do?? I dont think it will matter all that much.. but.. i am curious..
