i have a 3500 stall tc and every now and then after driving on the highway for a bit, it will throw the SES light on. i usually reset the SES by resetting the PCM, however, i heard this was very bad for the engine/PCM... is this true? and if so, should i just ignore the SES from now on, and not worry about resetting it?

I doubt it is bad for the PCM or engine unless there is a problem that you are ignoring. If there is nothing wrong with your car, then resetting it is completely fine.
What code is it giving ya though each time? Maybe it isn't your TC doing it.
i'm not sure what DTC means, and i don't have an autotap, so i don't know what code it's throwing, but for the last 2 years without fail, whenever i drive on the highway in drive for a bit (i usually drive in 3rd), the SES will go on b/c the PCM thinks that the tranny is slipping... and i've heard this is expected from alot of people - so i know its the tc thats throwing the light...
