Picking out a cam need your help

i was looking at a cam with these spec by comp cams

206°/218° at .050"
115 Lobe Separation
Intake Lift .320" (.512" lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
Exhaust Lift .330" (.528" lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)

This one has a 115 lobe seperation the rest i have looked at have a like 112 or 113 but this one is recommended for supercharger or nitrous and nitrous is my poison so would this be a good cam for me and if not post cam specs for me

Nitrous likes wider lobe seperation, so yes 115 is good for you. It should perform average at NA, and outstanding with a power adder. But remember it will take more than the cam - you're going to need spring, retainers, pushrods...

Yeah i already know about the springs and retaining locks I am getting the comp cams springs and also there chromemoly pushrods. So you would recommend this cam cause i am also going to forged internals and gonna convert to a direct port setup. Any other opinions?

I had really good nitrous results with a 113 L/S cam (SSM 210/214). N/A works great too.

The blower likes it too, car pulls HARD. I need to get it to the track tho.

exshuast lift .535
113 or 114 lobe


Do u have any sound clips like does it idel nice and rough
and as far as tuning goes u got it tuned right with maft+ and autotap

What supplier has that cam? That's a huge lift.

I'm also interested and looking into a cam. I would like something that gets the most performance but requires no real tuning or PCM reprogramming. Is there such a cam ou there. Obviously it has to be a mild cam but I don't want to go through the trouble of programming and such. I will be running it NA also.

The idle is very rough, it thumps hard. I need to get some mpeg footage of it online at idle. You can actually see the car shake back and forth at idle with that cam.

Might want to check with Tom and make sure there is enough meat on the stock cam if you get a regrind, if not you can go with a custom comp cam.

I got it tuned with the MAFT+ and OBD2 software. I could still use a custom program.

This months issue of Hotrod has an awesome article on picking a cam for your application and really breaks down key points to know when designing your own.
