ive searched and im still confused. My car makes a tapping noise, if i push on the accelerator, then let off it makes a nocking noise, whats this from? y pipe? it doesnt seem to be coming form the valve covers. plus sometimes at idle it makes a rattling sound coming from the cat/y pipe area.

It sounds like one or more of your rockers needs to be torqued down. When they become loose they start to make a clicking sound. Its not that hard to do it if you know how. The Guys in Advanced Tech can help you better. Moving there now....

After re-reading your post I see that you said "it DOESN'T seem to be coming form the valve covers." I though you said it "does." If the mods could move this back the Gen tech that would be great. Thanks

alot of us have a rattle sound. Its the Y pipe, the Y pipe has 2 layers of metal when they touch they rattle.
