• Need HELP!!!!It doesn't want to start!!!!!

background: I have enough fuel pressure, 5 injectors work/cycle (verified w/tester)1 injector dead.

I'm getting 2.5v to #55 wire on Blue PCM connector (theft deterent fuel enable). The motor is cranking, but no juice is getting to the injector harness.

Any ideas, or more info needed???

shouldn't that just keep the car from actually starting? I did the bypass module to send the 2.5v signal to energize the injectors.

edit: I do I get to go thru the 14 remaining resistors only to find out the one I need is the very last one

Welp, looks like I wasn't using the correct wires to splice in the restor(s). I am humbled. Which wires do I need to hook up the resistors to? And don't say the ones running to the keylock cylinder, as the car is pre-VATS.

First off, VATS doesnt stop your car from starting unless you are using the BCM(body control module) from a 4th gen. For me, it let it start but then after like 3 or 4 seconds shuts the engine off(injectors). You cannot do the resistor trick to fool the computer because that is for the BCM, not the PCM. The PCM is looking for a 5 volt 50 hz square wave signal at blue #55. I bought a unit from painless wiring for 50 bucks to bypass VATS, summit part# PRF-64024. But right now, i dont believe VATS is your issue because it should start no problem.

I think the fuel injectors might have to be powered seperatly from the computer. I know the computer fires the injectors by grounding them meaning they should always have 12 volts to one of the 2 wires if the ignition is on. I think there is a wire somewhere that needs to be powered for the injectors, probably pink.

Ill have to ask my brother if he remebers anything about it since he has a better memory than me.

Ive been doing some thinking, and was actually reminded of this by a customer,.......the wiring schematics show all these hot run wires from the fuse box in the engine compartment. I really don't remember have to hookup any wires to a power source coming from the harness. The onlty loose ends have been the 3 connectors going to the dash, the two for the tranny, & the 2 for teh non-existant rear O2 sensors.

I see some tedious wire tracing in my future
