  • Cam +1.8 roller rockers

    Hi,
I was hoping to hit 14's by summer and motor work needs to be done obviously. First question, is it worth getting the heads from SSM?
If not I was thinking getting a mild cam as you guys recommended the comp cam 206 degree/212 degree at .050
Intake Lift .320 (.512 lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
Exhaust Lift .325 (.520 lift at 1.6:1 rocker ratio)
113 Lobe Separation i believe. Would this work well with the SLP 1.8 Roller rockers? Thanks!

I do believe you'd need the worked heads to have the cam and 1.8's to work cause of the lift. From what I've heard the stock heads can't handle over a .500 lift, but I've seen some people go just over that and be fine. You should call Tom over at SuperSix and tell him what you want to do w/ that cam and 1.8's and see what he thinks on the heads situation.

The SuperSix heads are a quality product. Tom has worked on several 3.8L heads and knows exactly what to do. Like he said I recommend buying the heads as well. You'll need them for the lift you'll be running.
