Well I have been working on it all day...

I cant get the oil pan off from the bottom. I have removed my exhaust and lifted the motor a little in hopes to be able to work on my bearing from there. No go. I either have to remove the motor and take what comes w/ that, or drop my k-member from the bottom...

If I do have to pull my motor do I have to take the TB, Upper Intake and manifolds off?

So I am 5 bolts away from pulling my motor. The stupid pan is stuck. GM service said I had to pulll the motor to get to my bearings anyway. So I have to get my left mount bolt out and the tranny bolts....So I thought I would update you guys and thank you again for the help...

Not pretending to know everything, I think its the oil pump. You have to remember that you have hydralic lifters in that motor and if you have no oil pressure, the lifters will become flat and the valves will not open. Also, if the oil pump was good and you tried starting the motor with the valve cover(s) off, you would notice oil circulating through the valve train. Forgot the electrical for now. Earlier you should you had to use a breaker bar to turn the engine over. That implies to me that you had to put some muscle behind that bar and I don't think the starter would be able to turn it.
But if it was my motor, I would pull it and disassemble it. Very good chance that you burned a bearing or worse yet spun it (or them).

dont pull off the intakes or the TB. Try and pull the motor out as much as a hole as possible. It should come out easily with them on.

So I have the motor out and I checked the main bearaings...They dont seem all that bad. It is my first time looking at a set but I dont know if they are my problem. I guess I have to check the con-rod bearings next and see how they are.

And a little tip on pulling the motor. There are sleves inside the bolt holes on the lowest bolts. They are a major pain to get out. So I will try and get some pics of the bottom end today or tomorrow. But I will need somewhere to host them...

                  Cool man thanks......

And today I am dropping my trans so I can hook it up to my engine while it is out and slide them both back in at the same time. Any Ya's or Na's on this process.

And my cluth is pretty much gone. How much for a new/used/refurbished one? I want cheap not nice. because I am not making payments on the car anymore...

SO I got a professional diagnosis on the motor....

Looks like I am replacing the con-rod bearings, main bearings, and the oil pump....Tons of work involved. I just hope parts arent going to cost to much or I might just buy a used motor...

so you won't have to pull the intake & heads, just mess with it below the belt ;)

How do I do that? Haynes says I need to take off the lifters...Dont I have to take off the heads to do that?

If you have to take lifters off you have to take off the intakes. Not the heads.

Hey edge, IM sure you will need intake manifold gaskets. I have an extra intake gaskit kit if you want it let me know. I have aquired 2 of them. One for me one for you. Let me know if you want it.
