Is there any differences between a 95 3.8l and others made after that? I was under the impression that a 95 3.8l was somewhat rare for its day, since 3.4l engines were still being put in most F-bodies, and that this 3.8l was a restricted California emmissions engine. Any info would be appreciated, and any info quickly.
There is a post in the For Sale forum about it, and with a few emails to the ebay seller, it is within my current price range, and could be a solution for certain parts not normally found in performance form.
1995 Pontiac Firebird
2008 Chevrolet Silverado LT Crew Cab 4x4
The 3.8L engine was offered as an option on the base coupes in the mid-1995 Production year. GM had already produced the 3.4's but when they decided to switch over to the 3.8's it was in the middle of the production, so in order to get rid of the 3.4's and not loose money, the 3.8 was an option in mid-95
As for the actual engine itself, I am pretty sure nothing was changed in it from 95 to 96.
1996 Polo Green Metallic Camaro:<br />SLP CAI, Carsound/Magnaflow 3\" in/out cat, Flowmaster 2.5\" cat-back... sounds great
