Hey guys, well I finally decided to get a cam. I'm going with the zzperformance GT cam. I'm trying to find a place that will install it for me for cheap, I guess. zzp says they'll do it for me for $500.00 and they're just on the other side of the state (MI) Then ATI Motorsports quoted me $730.00 for installation. I don't wanna do it myself cause I don't wanna mess up my engine.
PLEASE HELP!!!!

IMO it's worth a little more if you upgrade the valvetrain as well.. :D

What about just the cam though? With installation this is gonna cost me about 800 bux. Is a 20-30hp gain worth 800 bux. It is to me if it is to you. Would there be any other mods for under a grand that could get me SOTP?
Thanks

The GT cam is OK for the stock valve train.. You should see significant results, prob about 1 sec or more on the track.

Sorry, I forgot to answer your question, I used LS1 springs and retainers, Trick-Flow pushrods, and comp cam lifters. All these things including the cam costed about $400
All in all it costed me about $100 in gaskets and misc hardware to do the install myself.
