• My 3.4L engine rebuild has begun!

Well today I took my car to a shop where they only work on camaro's to have my engine rebuild done. Hes gonna P&P my heads with a 3 angle valve job , P&P my upper and lower intakes , Custom grind my cam to 212/218 112 LSA 500/500 valve lift , 1.6 ratio extruded gold series roller rocker arms , mill my heads down , he also installing high energy pushrods , a mellings standard flowrate oil pump , an adjustable fuel pressure regulator , Also doing computer tuning and tuning my Jet stage 2 chip.He is also fixing my Rksport headers so they wont ever leak again. Im hoping to get some serious power out of all of this! Im hoping to get about 260 crank HP or more outta this. Wish me luck!

Throw in the Cloyes double roller timing chain with that rebuild. Retard the timing 2 degrees and it will bump the numbers up a little more. I just finished my rebuild with forged internals so if you have any questions, give me a call. 502.552.5467

Tom at supersix put half of that cam together for me .He said that that cam would be right in my power range.

Ryan, I forgot to mention to check out my page that has the details of what I did to my engine. There are some things in there to think about doing while rebuilding your engine. Let me know if you need any information.

Thanks alot Josh. Oh by the way , how much of a power increase did you feel after the rebuild ? Oh and do I need anything to retard the cam timing 2 degrees or can I just tell my mechanic to do it.

You will need the Cloyes adjustable timing set in order to advance or retard your timing.

Also, FYI, your rockers showed up today and I have labeled them for shipping. Your E-mail has details.

what i meant by that cam remark was just that the best way to get all you can out of the package is get flow #'s on the heads and grind the cam accordingly i am sure you will have a great setup good luck with it!
