The stock power on a 93-95 fuel injected 3.4L V6 is 160 bhp. From what I hear from people that have done the work, a carbed 3.4L V6 with the Edelbrock manifold and a good carbuerator will immediately put you at 190bhp. Then, you can go from there.

thanks guys. RedFrk... that site is exactly what I needed. Im going to email stalker and see what kind of clearances there are under the hood and if I can get a small supercharger in there.

Anyone have a guess on what it would cost to build a 3.4 to hold 6-8psi? think the GM crate engine would hold it?

the stock 3.4 should be able to handle up to 9 psi easily, and the stock cam and the internals like it . anything over 9 psi and you should rebuild the bottom end with forged parts, and p&p the heads. enjoy your 1500lb car, that thing is gonna fly.

I Don't think that the stock engine will hold 9psi. Also, if you are doing all of the work, you should get the heads ported and polished BEFORE the SC. The stock heads really restrict power and need to be opened up.

190hp with the carbed setup?? What does it do to the torque curve? I'd have to see proof (i'd do it if it made those numbers.

its a pretty flat curve, I think I saw the dyno chart/ #'s on either edelbroch or holleys website. will find it at lunch and post the link.
I'm pretty sure there are going to be clearance issues in an f-body, not to mention local/ state laws for emmissions/ inspection.

heres the torque curve from Edelbroch.

http://www.angelfire.com/biz6/stalkerv6/drive.html

I think this is with the 2bbl carb. the Holley 4bbl pushes it to 190/205 (see bottom of next page)

Ive heard that number from others too, like the S-10 forums and what-not.
