sorry to drop in but what about the edlebrock
204/214 110ls would that be a good bet. if i remember correctly it was designed for daily drivers and is supposed to help low end torque and mid range.
this entire post has my attention cause ive been trying out what to do next and i was wanting a big boost of hp. im a daily driver and im not planning on supercharging or anything like that so i want to know what i could go with and not have a lot of trouble out of it.
no fate but what we make<br /><a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1\" target=\"_blank\">http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/748167/1</a>

Johnny, I believe both places sell the same springs. I'd buy through Supersix though because I think his customer serverice is great.

Tom goes the extra step for you when he says machining.. He machines the valve seal pedastels just a pinch to prevent higher lift cams from smahing the seals.

The part number for the pushrods is application specific. You need to determine the length you need first before you buy.. I bought trickflow chromoly 1 piece rods.

Arctic, yea on a nitrous application exhaust favor helps. Regarding the cam advance, well we don't have adjustable timing chains so that doesn't really help. :( I really like our degreeing setup though. It's SO easy. Just line up the dots and your good to go.

blackbyrd, I've never heard of that cam. Is that a 3.4 cam? I don't think its a 3800 series II cam. A 110LS on our cars would idle VERY rough.

Scott, I've tried to clear the air with you. You completely blew me off. You hold some sort of grudge against me for whatever reason yet you won't tell me.?? I'm sorry but I will not be answering your questions.

For you Drew, no problem.

We are talking streetable cams here. What's streetable on an LS1 is VERY agressive on a V6. Don't forget we have different cylinder sizes than our big brothers.

As for my car, without the KR sensors the PCM pulls timing anyway to be safe. I can't win. I have to do some more testing to figure out what is causing them to go crazy.. cause they really do go nuts. Completely max out at a certain rpm range.

Just to add also, a 224/224 on an LS1 is very streetable but a 224/224 on our cars would be very VERY wild.

under my year and engine build if you want you can take a look to maybe understand what im talking about a little better.

if the 110ls would idle rough what would you suggest to help that problem?

I answer all the questions that I see need answering which pertain to the topic. I don't purposely avoid other questions but much of what is sometimes asked is quite redundant. This is not to say I won't answer those questions, but I am less likely to - since it makes for a post session that is like every other. Here in Advanced tech my goal is to learn with everyone, not go from the ground up all over again discussing things such as "What a cam does" and "why its called a cam"... goto www.howstuffworks.com first okay?

magnus ok i gotcha about the part number but what about the one that is for the buick 231-252 part # 5487. its a 204/214 with 112ls. and its for the v6 would you say that was better or go with one of the other cams that have been previously discussed.

sorry about the wrong part number thing

blackbyrd, I highly doubt that cam is for a 3800 series II. Just some other 3.8. I'm not sure which engine though.

No I'm not completely certain about what is streetable and what isn't. I do have a good idea though. Perhaps better than the people asking me what cam they should go with. This is why I use my best judgement even though I am not 100% sure.

Reverse split cams, I think its more hype than performance.

Well as i sit here and look as you all are going back and forth totally over looking what the main part of the post is all about. The question is will the VS cam be a good cam on a n/a 3.8 that will yeild the most hp without messing with the valvetrain or give the computer any codes? If not then what is a better cam that will do what the VS claims it will do?
