96 intake mod?

i got a 96 3.8 with just the flowmaster catback system iwas wondering if anyone knew how to do something like a cheap lid i could put on to get a decent hp gain and get some freash air in there. possible a link with a set instructions and what materials i would need. thanks

Its ugly cause i just dont care. but If i woulda had more of a selection of spraypaints and whatnot it woulda turned out sweet.

It costed me a total of 8 bucks. since i already had the filter.

You can hear the ****er suck in air. and u can feel a noticable difference in throttle response and some good psychological gains.

quite easy to make. just some 3 inch pvc and some random bends

thanks im really interest ed in the lid but i dont waan pay like 80 bucks for like a piece of plastic
i was talking to this guy at a auto show and he hasa newer one actually is a 35th aniversay ss. but he got rid of his stock air box becasuse its extremly restrictive and got a lid for it and said he gout liek a 30 hp gain and a good throtte response. i was thinking of that but i was looking ion the price range of no more then $50 tops. thanks for the post thought,that a good in expenseive wat for a quick hp gain.

your intake is totally different than 98+ cars. a lid wont fit. you need a slp cai. search :D
