Yep, 218 or so should peak at are just before the limiter.
Too much bigger and power would be wasted.

Bigger than 218 would be wasted with stock tuning you mean right? HP Tuners is the solution to that! What performance vehicle (factory production) runs to thei full potential while only spinning their motor to the factory rev limiter? Not many if at all!

And I'll agree with you need only so much duration for any given amount of displacement per cylinder. We have a little more per cylinder than a 5.0L motors (Chevy and Ford), and they run cams bigger than 220 duation consistantly for performance applications.

I think this will be interesting in the next month or so. I see alot of the current conceptions of this motor changing with the release of comprehensive tuning.

Tuning will be released shortly, and I believe the norm for the V6 cams is going to get larger:)
I got my cam from 3800performance i wnadt it ground to intense specs but the guy there had me talk to guy that did the cam for our motors and he asked me what i wanted and teaked the specs just a bit on there "millon dollar dyno program" he siad it just worked a little better. now if i could only rember his name.

PS compare the specs on my page to intense turo stage 3 cam, you'll see what i mean

With a raised limiter, I can see durations of close to 230 to make peak power where you want it.

Might not idle so hot... We should be talking over 300 crank HP with suporting mods though...

It sucks. It stalls all the time, has a weak powerband and the gas mileage is terrible.
                    Don't buy this cam! ;)
The only truth in there is terrible gas mileage, am I right? :D

Not really. My 21/218 gets me 23mpg around town (and I do hotrod it alot). And on the hwy this weekend with my 3.73's turning over 2600rpm's for 2 hours (plus about 5 runs at the track), I still got 30mpg.

Sweet, glad I picked this cam too then.

I pulled a 15.4 spinning through first in current form (3.08 open A4), so with my new 3.42 LSD rear, and this cam (and maybe better tires to hook with), low 14s aren't unreasonable.
