Ok I will be running a 75shot soon and I was wondering, what would be a good cam for nitrous in my car, and still show some good gains NA, I like the idea from the other post of not changing the springs and retainers, etc, but if thats not a good idea for me, so be it. But will that VS cam work well in a nitrous and NA standpoint.

Post specs, not a label. What are the specs of the "VS" cam?
A good nitrous cam... with a rough idle... that should perform well NA too...
I'm thinking 212/218 112..
I'm not completely confident on that though. I'll have to do some more research.Keith - Chicago
HP Tuners - PCM Reprogramming
97 Firebird V6 to LS1 swap
V8 9.967@132.78 1.322 60\' NA Heads/Cam
V8 10.295@128.48 1.363 60\' NA Cam Only
V8 10.987@119.31 1.422 60\' NA Stock Internals
V6 13.674@98.22 NA
V6 12.394@104.91 N20 100HP

I like those specs on the cam expect for the LS. That cam seems more like a NA cam. If I were running a cam for nitrous use, I would go with atleast a 114 or greater LS with exhaust duration greater than intake duration.
There is already a post about the VS Cam here in advanced tech, I suggest you read it if you want to look more about this cam.2001 A4 Pewter 75th Anniversary W68 Firebird
1997 Dodge Ram Extended Cab 360 CID
1996 Ford Explorer V6
Any number you can think of, I can think of one higher.
www.criesmusic.com
www.mp3.com/beneaththestage
http://www.thenebula.com/carpics/pics/Silver3800V6Picturescar6.jpg
http://www.thenebula.com/carpics/pics/Silver3800V6Picturescar4.jpg
AIM: Guitarchitect201

I think 113 L/S is a good comprimise for a nitrous/NA cam. I've had excellent results with my 210/214 113 l/s cam running NA and also on the bottle with a 100 shot. Just make sure you have a little more exhaust duration than intake and you should be good to go.Michael Huff
92 RS, 98 V6, 97 SS, 00 Z28
http://www.carolinafbodyclub.com/

Well,... we're talking small nitrous shots here so I don't think you really NEED to look for a N20 cam.. Unless you want to spray 150+ or so.
A real good N20 cam will run crappy for NA.
Yes, N20 like SC likes more LS but is it really going to matter on a 75 shot?
pgriffith, 206/216 115LS I don't think will perform all that great on an NA setup.. even a small N20.. You drive the car mostly NA anyway. Maybe a 212/216 112?
As you can see, there is so many lobes you can choose from.. They are in the COMP online catalog.. I'll post the links later.. You can custom pick YOUR cam.

Im not really concerned about a nitrous cam. Like magnus said its driven NA most the time anyway and with such a small shot...
So lets talk about NA cams. What would be the ideal NA cam for a car reving no higher than 6,000RPM's. What would give the best results?

I did read it thats why I knew what it what was called. I started the new post to discuss wether or not It would be good for a car occasionaly using nitrous. I would like to change the cam anyways and if I don't have to change springs and retainers its all good. But I don't want a cam thats going to puke when nitrous hits.1997 Chevrolet Camaro v6 - 13.8@104MPH
