One question i do have has to do with both intakes off. It concerns the balance bar (the one that looks twisted and runs thru the middle of the intake valley) The problem is that when i was rotating the cam sprockets i think i moved that balance bar from the way it was before. I think this may be a concern because that keeps the motor stationary when pistons fire. Any ideas with this let me know! thanx

That's the balance shaft. Although your engine will definitely not be stationary at idle with the GT2.

The sprocket is marked so just line up the dots and it'll be straight. You could spin it over and over if you wanted, as long as the dots are lined up when you put the gears back on.

just started her up at like 12 last nite after working on it fr 11 hours!! it lopes like a frickin 1970 charger. even when i hooked the exhaust up it still was ike twice as loud! te only issue is that i used my stock injectors because mynew ones havent come yet and i was impatient. is that a big deal? also, the idle is real rough. is that normal?? i hope so. thanx again guys!

Stock injectors should be fine for now. I'm running stockers, and I was only hitting abut 85% duty cycle when I was getting AFR in the 10s. Yeah that's a bit over the 80% max, but it's not bad.

As for the oil, you may have spilled some in the install. If not, just try to figure out where it's dripping from.

Check your oil pressure sending unit on the front of the block, its about the size of one of those little BB gun CO2 tanks with a wire or two coming out of it. A lot of people damage it when changing cams.

when i put my cam in the computer needed time to adjust to the new cam. it took about two weeks or so for it to settle in.

mine still is a little "rough" at atart up, but tuning should help that.

It should sound pretty close to this.

The gt2 cam is very close. I think a little more lobe sep.

oil is leaking from the front of the oil pan. you have to remove the front timing cover and that bolts to the bottom of the oil pan. i hope you used "GM" sealant when you put the cover back on.

HP tuners gives you the ability to tune for different things and load your tune as needed, like when you get the bigger injectors or change other things.
