• question about maft+ versions (4.0 vs 5.2) (Ramchargers is so cool!)

What is the problem with running a maft+ version 4.0 on our cars?

Seems like some people had a possible ignition interference problem crop up around 5000 rpms?

Ramchargers tells me they can send me an updated chip. Will it easily install on the board? (i.e. no soldering?)

I think the chips are ZIF.. just pull one out and insert a new one.

I doubt ramchargers would send you a chip that needs to be soldered in.

Sounds good.

Ramchargers just wrote back saying the interference problem was only on the Corvette...

> Mike,
>
> Does the chip slide out of a socket,
> or does it have to be soldered onto the board?
>
> How much for the upgrade chip?
>
> Thanks,
> John
