  • Is a gm 3800 a gm 3800?

I know a strange question but here goes. I blew up my 1999 camaro v6 gm 3800. I can get a good deal on a fwd gm 3800 motor with like 3000 miles on it. Can I take the exhaust and intake manifolds off of the blown motor and put them on the fwd motor. Will it be the same motor when it is done and will it work well? Sorry no one seems to know if they are same block and heads, I would think they would be.

I was just looking into this as well, and the guy that I talked to ran it through some engine interchange software and told me that the only things that are the same are the heads, and the block was differnet.
