What all V8 engines will fit in our v6 bodies? My friend works at a shop (his uncles place) and they'll completely put a v8 in of my choice. I don't have to pay labor, all I have to pay them is "a few bucks just for shop use". But of course they won't focus on my car, they'll do it in their spare time since I don't really have to pay to have it put in. I need to know what all will fit in our cars so I can start looking into the swap. Thanks

    LS1 is your best bet.

Lots of engines will "fit", but that is the eaisest for the most power.

Grand National engine will fit, LT1 will fit......

A 98 f-body LS1 will be the easiest (fastest and cheapest) swap.

A 99+ will be more complicated.

Any GM v8 engine will fit in your engine bay. Everything from an old 283 to an LS1 to a big block.

What do you want from the car, and how much are you willing to spend on the motor?

I want a car I can have fun with. (Not that I don't have fun with it now) It'll be my daily driver too, but once in a while I want to take it to the track. I guess what I was getting at with this post was whats the easiest swap to do.

Even with free labor it is easier to just buy a Z or TA.
