97 F-bodies will be released very soon. VERY soon. ;)

If you have a 95/96 car you can just swap in a junk yard 97 PCM to work with our product.
So I can just plug a 97 PCM into my car and it'll work without any modifications to the wiring harness?

Yes 95(3800) and 96 cars can use a 97 PCM direct plug and play. Nothing needs to be modified!

HP Tuners is a full comprehensive tuning program which can edit ALL of your PCm's parameters. If you still wanna snd off your PCm and have it tuned by someone else to save a little money, Texas Speed plans to have full capability to tune your V6 PCM via HP Tuners also, and we will give you more than Wester's!!

Bottom line, this is almost comparing apples and oranges...Maybe apples and pears or something.
we'll i guess me trying to get something oing for the 1997 people was a wastse of time and money...

but i dont know alot about the MAF, fuel spark tables im tuning for 50lb injectors and LT1 MAF, i would probly do more harm then good. I'll let westers do the hard part

BTW every seem to have this one miss thing on Westers YOU DO NOT have to send your PCM off. you fill out the form with what you want (its vary vary in detail i had to ask taigo for help) and the program and send it off, then when you get the it you swap it out and blamo you do mail you stock back to them, if you need to change something you pay for the shipping and they do the same thing (NO DOWN TIME) i had to send mine because he didn't have any 1997's to work on.

one last thing if you get westers YOU CAN NOT EDIT IT UNLESS YOU go to westers the protech the programming.

if the dont do im sure i'll be odering it, but i do a agree you should get more then 6 months of updates.

ehh i was just reading my post again,

I am not slamming HP by any means. i thank them for doing the 1997's i guess my reaction was because i would have watied and just got a dyno tune for my car. But to help out the 1997-1996 people i sent mine in to get programmed (i still had to pay, they didn't cut me any breaks)

I'm sorry if any one took it the wrong way

P.S. those with 1996 can get a PCM from TAcreations for like 50 bucks

Viper, where did you get your info that Wester's protects their program?

Here is a quote directly from their web page:

"There are no further refunds on 'custom performance chips' Since we don't Copy Protect our PROM or MEMCAL, we can't stop you from copying our program. We CAN stop you from copying the program and returning it for a refund."

They don't actually protect their tune, they use the actual hex code programming to rewrite your PCM manually, thus when HP tuners software reads your PCM it will not recognize what is written. How to I know this? Ed Wright in Tulsa does a lot of LS-1 and LT-1 programming along with V6's now. He uses the actual hex code and LS-1 edit can not read a PCM he has programmed, due to that fact. I found out through the shop I got my tranny rebuilt at, as they are one of the Best LS-1 garages in OKC.
