  • v6 stroker?

has this ever been done? can you go from 3.4 inch rods to say 4 inchers or anything for a 286 stroker or anything like that, ya know like the v8 guys can do a 383, 422... strokers out of the LS1, i think that would be pretty mean on the street, what about you all?

nope, not yet buddy. I've been looking at the crap for days. it's do-able, but not worth it in cost.

When you stroke the motor you go with a longer throw crank and a shorter rod. If you just put in a longer rod you'll put the piston through the head. ;)

If you want to stroke your V6 look into getting a custom crank made.. it will cost pehaps almost what your car costs... much $$$$.

What exactly does a stroker motor do? Does it just make the piston go down further?

There is more piston travel.. yes it goes down further however there is also more throw with the crank... meaning the circle the crank/piston connection travels gets larger.. velocites are increased because of this.

It also brings in more air fuel mixture b4 its compressed becuase of the increased stroke length...
