Alright I have a 98 and the angled throtle body is getting on my nerves. Is there any way that i can straighten it, or do I need to suck it up and buy a new intake manifold(ex: from a 99 or newer) to correct the angle?

Not worth it. I would almost say it can't be done, but with enough work it probably could. You'd have to get a 99+ intake manifold and throttle body, which is drive-by-wire. So then you'd have to convert the car to drive-by-wire, which would require a new PCM, servo, pedal setup, etc.

You might be able to make the 98 TB fit on the 99 manifold and it would be streight. But why?

FWIW, the bolt pattern on the TB changed in 99 too. It wouldn't fit on a 99 manifold. ;)
