• Internal damage?

not sure if this belongs in advanced..but anyway..i have the blown head gasket from running the 10 shot..however..earlier that day i had a nitrous backfire..i didnt give it much though at the time because it looked like all it did was blow the intake hose off..and put some liquid in the TB..which i assumed was fuel at the time..i hooked it up to HP Tuners to make sure all the sensors were still functioning properly and they were..i have a new MAF sitting here anyway

i took a look at the car over the weekend..its sitting at the shop cuz they cant get to it till this week..i took off the intake and i could see oil now puddled at the very edge of the TB and all inside the intake hose..and my IAT was covered in it..i now believe it was this 150 backfire that blew my head gasket

i have all the signs of a blown head gasket..but not really any signs of anything else..with that background..my question is..with that oil up that far into the intake and everything..is it likely that there is internal damage??

it possibly could be a cracked head/block which would really suck! Make sure to have them check when they remove the heads.

i try to use it as properly as i can for the amount i run..i NEVER EVER instruct anyone to even attempt to run the amount i do..and there are other people here who have blown gaskets on a 150 shot or just anything with nitrous in general..but i wont name names..i dont do that

i dont mind that my motor is blown i guess..because as far as i know its all covered..otherwise i would've never attempted my goal of 12s with a dry shot/shots on an almost stock tune, full weight, and 18" chrome rims haha..hopefully its just the gaskets anyway..i'll have them put it back together..and then just enjoy running smaller shots..and keeping it show-quality shined

as far as boost..yeah i have to say if i were ever to go with boost again as my main power adder it would be turbo

Yea I think that's a good idea. Just enjoy the nitrous on the lower shots I mean when you think about it its just a few 10's of a second difference between just shots. Atleast if you go lower you won't have to worry about "Am I gonna blow up my motor this run?".

I wasn't even planning on upping my shot to a 100 I was just gonna stay at 75 because it still hits hard and it's fun but due to unforseen circumstances with a person who's name starts with K and and with risten runnin 13.3's which is right next to me, I had to do something (male ego I guess?)

Maybe start looking into window switches to help those backfires tho.

even if it is warrantied, definetly not against nitrous, if ur talkin about them replacing ur engine there prolly gonna laugh and say, well buddy, thats what you get when u use nitrous. that really sucks im sorry, but ur talkin about warranty, i doubt they cover somthing that is meant to ignite hotter, and cause ur engine to run at its peek, im sure if you ran a 75 shot, eventually u would do the same thing, but with how much you used, any at all, they wont cover it.

somehow I think when he goes to get the car fixed he's gonna leave the "nitrous blew my motor" part out....
