Unless you have tried all the variations in cams don't, REPEAT DON'T, mix and match. Abbott Racing has carefully engineered a cam specifically for their heads, manifold setup. Do you think you can use any other cam than the one they engineered for that setup? No way. Go with a proven system...do not mix and match components unless you have access to flow benches, chassis dynos and 25 years of experience. And get a tune from Jason at Texas Speed to properly calibrate the car to the power max. I've been building cars for over 40 years now (yeah, now my social security pays for it) and the one thing I've learned is that a well engineered system beats piecemealing parts. RP

Matt...unless the typical BB reader here has the bucks and time to do all the research that Abbott or SSM or Intense invests in their kits, they don't have a chance at attaining peak results. The average person, and that's most of the BB members, doesn't understand the engineering dynamics, doesn't have the time or money and, most importantly, doesn't want to experiment...they want a proven setup they won't have to keep tinkering with. For the 1% who have the time, money and inclination, I say "experiment away" but for everyone else, buy a professionally engineered setup from one vendor following their recommendations for parts and installation. I do not enjoy spending my spare time working on my cars so I subscribe to the do-it-once principle. I personally have had such a tremendously positive experience with Abbott Racing that I heartily recommend them to anyone that is interested. I'm sure that other companies are excellent as well but since I chose Abbott after much research and found their claims to actually be very conservative and their service superior, well, I can speak from experience in recommending Abbott and their products. For a Camaro V6 owner new to modifications and wanting to have a normally aspirated car modified, they take all the guess work out of what to do. Anyone considering modifying their car, either in stages or all at once would do well to heed their advice. Again, I speak only from my experience with them and not having patronized the other similar go-fast parts providers. Richard
