  • More on: Short belt, !AC, ZZP UD-WP

Did !AC today. Finished, went out in the beater to Pep Boys, bought the $23+tax 615K6, 61.5" long. Home, couldn't get it to fit. Back to Pep boys, swap for the $21+tax 62" (620K6). Cheaper, go figure. That's too big. Was going to try a 625 and go around the tensioner backwards, but they didn't carry that size. Swung by another shop, no sir ee bob. Back with the 615, still no dice. Had to remove my damn ZZP UD-WP pulley to get the 615 on. So ... back with the stock WP pulley, and the 615 belt. I figure if I go with the ZZP UD-Alt as well, maybe it will add just enough to use the 620 ... who knows. As of now, I'm stumped. And frustrated that I can't use my darn pulley!

Comments? BTW, !AC was a breeze.

i had the same problem with my underdrive pulleys and removal of the AC . i put both pulleys on, took the AC out.. went to find a belt.. no such luck after a few drives to the parts store.. took the new alt pulley off. put the stocker back on.. got a belt that fit, and no charging problems at all

I'll buy your pulley if you don't need it. ;)
