So i have never seen anyone talk about these so i don't know what fourm it would go in, please move it if you feel it should be somewhere else. Anyways my buddy is pulling apart his STI to part out the after market parts. So he took of his battery compacitor which he paid 300 dollars for and i took the opertunity to make fun of him. I have allways thought and told him that it was a waste of money and did nothing for the car, and to prove it we put it on my car last night. And i was forced to eat my words. This thing actually gave my car more power. It was only noticible above 4k rpm, but that is where i need power anyways, we are not talking alot of power, but it is noticible. I allways thought that these were a waste of money, but now that it is on my car, i can actually feel that it is working. So anyways he is selling it to me for 180, i fell that is well worth the power gain considering that it also helps with the dimming light problem that i have in my car, and makes the subs hit better in peak moments. I just thought that i would share my enlightenment with everyone.

That's what they're supposed to do....provide extra power to your system, which takes a helluva load off your electrical system, more or less depending on how stout your sound system is. Mine runs about 700 watts total with a 1 farad cap. BTW, what in the hell kind of cap costs $300? If it's a 1 farad, both of you got ripped a new one. I got mine for less than $100 new.

Oh yeah, someone move this to stereo/ electronics please.....
