  • Grounding kit

I think i have allready asked this, but no one makes a grounding kit for our cars right? Can someone tell me how to make a home made on, i know the gains are small but i have some extra time, and extra monster cable sitting around my house, and i want to put them both to good work.

Upgrading the "big 3" wires would be a good start, then maybe another from the block to chassis....I saw a diagram for one of these but that's about all I can remember....sorry.

Don't know and don't care if any one makes them for our cars.
One thing I all ways tell people is that all most any kind of "kit" is a waste of money, and that a lot of them are put together with off the shelf stuff that you could get for way cheaper.
You could make one so easy and so cheap it isn't funny.
If you have wire laying around get some solderless connecters that will fit them for a few $. Then all you have to do is cut, crimp and install.
Wire brush the aera where you are going to install them.
Make sure you hook the alt. to the block and the block to the battery and then go from there.
For me I am going to get rid of the grounds for the engine sencors, controals and ECU all together. I'll wire them so every thing is isolated from the frame and wired to one shunt at the batt.

just a plain waste. It's something a ricer would buy and use for an excuse when he lost "my grounding kit must have been loose making my Vtec not kick in"

your car is well grounded as it is.

Not if you have a big aftermarket sound system.

I know getting rid of the braided ground straps with 4 guage battery wire will help...

Did you check in Stereo/Electronics? you may get better feedback in that section.
