  • standalone aftermarket pcm

    Hey guys,
I was wondering if there is a standalone aftermarket pcm they make for our cars. Instead of buying a 97 pcm , and a tuner, it would be much easier to just put a whole new computer in it.
I've already searched, with no luck except for plug in modules.
Have you guys heard of these?
    Thanks alot,
    Ron

THey made me a custom programmed pcm. It is a good one too. they have a fleet of 10 second w-bodies, so I trust them to program right.

Shipped to my door, it was about $360,+ a 100 core charge for my old pcm.

I had them put in a "dual mode" feature, which is really cool. I have a switch wired through the IAT. when the IAT is working normally, I get my usuall programming benefits. When I flip the switch, I routes the IAT through a 480ohm resistor. When the computer sees this resistance, I pulls out 15* of ignition timing when the TPS is above 68%. This allows me to use nitrous despite my aggresive NA tune. I guess I could theoretically use cheap gas too; but I haven't tried it.

This would be what you need. But I don't think they have anything in development for the 3.8. It's badass none-the-less http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=28438

True standalone systems, like the ACCEL DFI systems, are a helluva lot of money (about 2 grand), a helluva lot to tune, but once they are tuned, they work amazing.
