• Any significant problems with lowering idle?

Just curious if their are any significant problems to lowering idle?

on average target idle is around 700-900 rpms...

i was wondering if there woudl be any downfalls to lowering to ~500-600 rpms

Just seems on average might save a little gas, and keep temps down a bit.

Or do you think we might run into problems iwth the cooling/charging systems?

Just a half assed thought I came up with while browsing hptuners

your gong to run ito a lot of problems:
Low oil pressure
Low charging voltage
Fighting the idle
Low power on take off
Vacuum fluxuations (sp)
Idle dipping when coming to a stop.

It's not going to save you any gas milage really at all. I mean unless you sit the car at idle for 3 or 4 hours. Temps will also act just as they did before. It's not going to make any difference. really there isn't any good reason to drop your idle.

lope =/= stumble ;)

lope has meaning, stumble means you have problems.
