  • Drilling in throttle body plate.

    Lets say i wanted to get idle up from around 800-1000 how much would i make that whole bigger just a bit?
    New:04 GMC Sierra 1500 RCLB 4x4 5.3 GU80 3.73\'s.<br />Truck pics<br />Mods<br />Go fast: Panel K&N filter and soon SS truck catback.<br />Appearance: Stull Billet grill,Weston Chrome step tubes,Rhino Chrome hitch step,ARE painted fiberglass cover,Silver star lighting.

      I would get programing to adjust the idle before I go drilling holes in my plate. thats what the IAC is for.

        there is no tunning for the 3.4, I would ask over at the other board I seem to remember them discussing this not to long ago

            Start with a VERY small drill bit and make one hole. If it doesn't make too much difference, drill another one. This is what I did on my stock LT1 TB when I had it.

                  is this for an Lt1 tb? y is your idle so low, mine stock is at 1000. hmm, could it be because of your rebuild?

                      Aaron? Im trying to get in touch as you can see on fast im not to happy with the shop at this point in time.
                      Whitethunder? No its a stock 3.4 throttle body i think the cam kinda made the car idle lower..

                              figured because mine does the same thing because i now have it supercharged...im just doing some custom tuning over winter
