I found a Grand National engine on ebay and I wondered how hard it would be to put it in a Camaro. I think I heard that someone in this board has a Buick 3.8 in their camaro.
Its alot cheaper than getting a supercharger and I love Grand Nationals. I would appreciate any info on this.

Plus the heads won't fit. But that could be dealt with if you have a good mechanic who knows how. I would say go for it. If your car is your hobby then go for it. Why buy a new car when it will cost you a heck of alot more than swapping an engine. Besides think of it this: New car $25-30k Engine swap: $8-12K and you still retain the car you've grown attach too in the first place.
here's what I don't get: They changed the heads on the gn motor to fit the f-body due to clearence probs, yet a 454 will drop right in. wtf?
I have seen this engine swap in a camaro before. real intersting, yet somehow really, really fast.

Do a search and you will find the GMHTP articles on the two Formula Firebird articles that describe this swap.
It is not easy, you need 2 computers, one for the engine and one for the car, a ton of tuning and a good bit of custom modifications. It is much cheaper to install a LT1 or LS1

I don't know about that. The GN is the most hottest motor and its strong too. That 3.8 is bullet proof and Stronger than an aluminum LS1. Without advertising it, the engine was sold and there are no more in stock.
