  • Knock at idle?

Ok well at idle my car has a slight knock. I'm sure someone else has had a similar noise. But my guess is fuel filter, air filter, or A/C. Anyone ever had this or can give me more than semi-educated guess is appreciated, thanks.

it did not cost me anything to fix it i did it my self all you do is loosen your rocker arm then torque it down to 132 inch pounds then turn the torque wrench an additional 90 degrees. later justin

By the looks of it the valve covers will be pretty hard to get off? Should I tourque them all down or try to pin point the loose rocker arm?
Also, the motor has to be at top dead center before tightening right?

since your are going to pull the valve covers i would do all of the rocker arms just to be on the safe side and yes you do need to be at top dead center before tightining them. later justin

i have a slight hesitation at idle also, but i think i found the source of my problem. the other day at the track i noticed one of my plugs wasn't "snug" on the coil. since it just slides off...that could be a problem. also just check your wires... i had one resting on a manifold, so my miss firing was obivously due to my wires. im replacing them today, so if it isn't then i'll come back to this post.
as far as the fuel filter.. how many miles has it been since you're last change?

                good luck.

I replaced all plugs, wires, and fuel filters -- makes my car run like brand new. Now most of the knock is gone but there is still a slight knocking from around the airbox area? Any ideas about that?
