• Idea for Nitrous Users with Cams....

Ok, I am planning on getting the cam Magnus has now...
212 212 .325 .325 112 108 1.6:1 .520 .520
Now for nitrous, you should favor the exhaust, so I was thinking, instead of getting a split duration cam, why not put 1.7 rockers on the exhaust and leave the 1.6 on the intake, thus gaining lift on the exhaust side? By my calculations that should be a .553 Exhaust Lift.
Is this too much? Is the whole Idea overkill?
I think it should make for good discussion...
Ideas? Suggestions? I might be the tester for this one...

Rockers are still very expensive. I dont think it would be very cost effective.

You know, I didn't check into that yet, I was just wondering if it will work "Theoretically".
Good call though, I should have checked it out...

Its not cost effective. There is nothing wrong with a split cam either.

Yeah I agree, but say down the line I want to change it. I would have to order a new cam. (well i guess its cheaper than rockers anyway).
Well, so much for that idea.

Yea, a split cam would be more cost effective.

Perhaps 212/218 114 110 for nitrous?

If you run a symmetrical cam for mostly NA, then just run open y-pipe when you run on nitrous (That is if you already have headers).

If you have stock exhaust manifolds you'll defiately want to favor exhaust for nitrous.
