  • Camaro ECU backup?

I was going to buy a reprogrammer for my 1995 3.4l V6 Camaro. The reprogrammer that i was going to get however is a "flash" computer, not a simple plug-in. I was wondering if there was any way that I can backup my current ECU, and revert back to it if I decide to and how? I have plenty of faith that all will go well, but i like redundancy. I'm not screwing up my ECU!

Your local dealer should have the backup files on hand. If your programming screws up, they should be able to re flash it for you for a small fee.

I kept my stock PCM as it was and bought another one to programm and play around with. That way I never have to worry about down time.

Who still makes a flash programmer for the 3.4? Hypertech doesn't. FastChip will program the PCM if you send it to them, but they don't have a programmer (despite what their website says). Or an add-on module like the Jet Chip.
