  • NEED HELP WITH DETERMINING PERFORMANCE PROBLEM

I have a 2000 3.8L V6 Camaro and I have small mods like Borla cat back, SLP intake sensor, Bosch +4 plugs, Borg warner wires, throttle body spacer and cold air intake with smooth air bellow. My problem is sitting with the parking brake on and trans. in neutral I'll rev the car up to about 4600rpm then that's as far as it goes. I have the rev limiter set at 6200rpm, but when I race or the car is moving at full speed down the road it will reach the 6200. Why is this? Shouldn't it reach 6200 sitting still also? What is causing this and how can I correct it?

In neutral, the rev limiter is set lower than when in gear. That's perfectly normal. ;)
