Sounds the same way to me also. Having oil in your radiator is defnitely not a good thing to have. Has to be oil leaking into coolant somewhere either from the head, block, or blown head gasket.

I agree there are ways to test for a cracked block there is this test kit that sucks air in front he radiator and test for HC if there is then this yellow liquid stuff turns a blue color. I don't remember the name of it but I"m sure they have something like that at autozone or o'reillys or you will just have to take it an auto shop and get them to take a look at it.
Oil in radiator and quickly over heating you say?
O crap that's not good.
Your gona have to fix it buy more or less pulling parts off untill you find the leak.
See if you have coolant in you oil.
