If you have engine oil in your antifreeze, you most likely have a busted head gasket. You might wanna get that checked out....those 2 just don't magically mix together inside the motor

did they test the pressure with the engine running? Some times when things heat up & you get parts expanding, it creates those holes for fluids to leak through. That's what happened to the (plastic)radiator in the 93 bonneville I had for a while, mixed antifreeze & tranny fluid & killed the tranny. My curren tbird had a mix of oil & antifreeze in the oil pan, 10-15 qts worth. get it rechecked!!!!!!!!!!!

Happened to a friend of mine there was a crack in the block. It took them Pulling the engine and tearing it down to find it. What was happining the hole owuld expand in the heat and allow oil to leak through thats real bad and in time the hole well crack will expand like the one on my windshield i have been delaying ot fix.

My new ride 2000 camaro, No mods yet still waiting for warranty to run out then all out heads, cam, and supercharger
This is one of the unexplained things. Sometimes I get what i though was engine oil in my coolant. It was all muddy in the reservoir tank. Very thick too. I though it was engine oil. But I cleaned it up and it was totally gone. Take the tank out and clean it good. It might come back, but next time after it should go away. I don't know what it is, but as long as your oil is ok, then it's not oil. Some stuff just reacts with the coolant, don't ask me to explain.
Dom and predator thanks alot i have thought both of those this weekend during my extended break i planned on takeing out my recovery tank and cleaning it really well if the oil is still in there then i am prbally have to pull the motor. I tolf the service tech about the hol eexpanding when it got hot and he kinda pondered on that for a while. another question i have a REALLY bad miss but it only does it when it is hot and the hotter it gets the worse it does it, more at lower rpms like when going up a hill in drive but it does it sometimes around 3500-4500 also its weird any thoughts greatley appreciated

I've been getting the same thing in mine 98 3.8. I did a home flush job 2 weeks ago, but I still get the un-identified sludge in my reservior...coolant in the radiator looks fine though. I was fearful of blown head gasket, but the oil is fine, and so far I've been unable to tell that it has gone down any. I'm really worried b/c I can't afford to fix a head gasket right now, and I've got prom next week which will involve a lot of driving and I don't want the car to start overheating then. My dad thinks that I shouldn't worry about it, but I can't let it go that easy. What do you guys think?

Good Idea!!! My coolant resevior looks like swamp mud. I got the day off, so I'm gonna flush that thing out real good!

Is THAT what my problem is????
I flush my radiator once every two years no matter how many miles I put on the car, and every two years there is an excessive amount of muck in the coolant. So I flush the living heck outta it to remove all the gunk. I have been using regular tap water to mix with the dex-cool, but now I'm gonna use distilled.
