cold pitson slap?

could someone explain this a littel further for me i could find the answer i am looking for

you talking about ping when you statr the motor and its cold?

its when the cylinders are bored a little big and the piston skirt to cylinder clearance is kinda loose. When the motor warms up the pistons expand and the sound goes away.

there are 3 ls1's on ebay that have that problem it calls them gm warranty engines and its says they have that problem and i was thinking about getting one but i wasnt sure whit cold piston slap was
