I started a thread about this a long time ago that explained it. I don't remember what I wrote though, as I have moved on from the elementary IAT stuff.

plug my name into the search dealio, you might find it somewhere.

If you are trying to pull timing to run a nitrous shot, I wouldn't worry about it. Our cars have the wussiest stock ignition timing in the universe. They are like 22* WOT. Old school smallblocks used to cruise around with 30-36* timing.

Agreed for the most part. Once I got my car tuned, we actually added more timing for most of the RPM ranges and I still sprayed it. It liked it! Short of a MAJOR shot of juice, I wouldn't worry too much, as long as you are running good gas.

yeah I remember I was in that thread too...

As for the juice, I am contemplating a 125 wet shot, maybe get goofy and a 150 shot. I might chicken out on going that high just looking into options for the future its a long ways away.

Also I can get 100 Octane.

FWIW, someone in that old thread asked how high/low the IAT temps could go. -29°F to 275°F will be fine. Anything outside that range will set an SES light.

100K Ohms will result in either -40°C or -40°F. The manual says both, so I don't know which one it is.

            70 Ohms would be 266°F

              They are the same....

              -40*C = -40*F

Forget about the "Knock", you do not want to simulate that. Not only will it recover slowly, it will make your car run off the low octane table, pulling even more timing. The cheap way is to modify the IAT. Or you could get HP Tuners.
