• I have a '98 and need PCM programming, what can I do?

I've got 3.73s now from my stock 3.08s, went to a 255/50 from a 235/55 tire size, and my speedo and odometer have no idea which way is up. I'm sick of not knowing how fast I'm going and I have been told that I need to change the PCM for the gears or my transmission may die. So far I only know of zzperformance to custom program my computer and they charge what? like 450 or something? and I have to ship them the PCM? Does anyone have programming from them and can review it for me? How long did it take? That seems kinda steep for something an HPP3 can do, but its not adjustable by me like an HPP3 and I'd probably have to pay more to make changes.

    So what can I do?

Well the good news is your P255/50s are the same as P235/55s to the speedo, 26.1" high.

The bad news is you have a 98 and with 3.73s back there you do need reprogramming. I know it can be done, but for what cost? $450 to Zoomer is overpriced. I think the SLP speedo recalibrator might work, or you could even try the Jet SCU, both of those are a lot cheaper.

I wish it were that easy Dom, but the SCU2000 only allows for gear changes in two increments, so the best I could do would be 3.42 programming. And I have been told that neither the SCU2000 nor the SLP will change shift points.
