I found a 97 3800 PCM on ebay, but the guy says it's for an automatic trans. I have a manual trans, but I was wondering if they are interchangeable. I not sure, so I thought I'd ask.

Is this the PCM (1997) that I can have a performance computer chip installed without the hassle of the glue that GM put over the 1996's to make it more of a hassle to remove?
Hopefully, it is. I would like to get a performance chip sometime soon.
