The SLP rocker package comes with 1.8 rockers with pushrods. Its a pretty good package from what I hear.

I have SLP 1.8 roller rockers.

I also added titanium retainers and comp cams 105 springs even though SLP does not suggest them.

Right away I noticed a top end gain.

Comparing my best times N/A was a 14.30 in low 50's- high 40's weather.
          and a best of a high 92 mph. Best 60 was 1.88

Recently with temps around low 70's I have gone 14.26 and picked up another 1 mph. 60's suffered to mid 1.9's. I am hoping with better weather I may be able to get back into the 1.8 60's, run a low 14.1 or very high 14.0 and hit 94 mph N/A

Definately a good mod for me

James since you upgraded to the 105lb springs, what was the stock ones?

Also what size are the pushrods that SLP sends with the rockers?
                Thanks,
JAM
02 Firebird GT

I think stock springs are rated around 60's?

I have noticed a loss of TQ down low but the top end power makes up for it.

I'm spraying tomorrow sooo we shall see

Wow I did not realize the stockers were that much less. So using the 105lb with these is about right. What would happen if you went to big like 130lb spring? Can your go wrong using to strong a spring?

Also forgot to add, why did you choose titanium retainers instead of 4130 chrom molly steel?

Anyone? I'm guessing titaium is lighter and stronger? But are springs and retainers really needed with the slight increase in lift from the rockers and longer pushrods?

                          Thanks,
JAM
02 Firebird GT
