  • Ploping a Laptop in my car?

    I wanted to put a laptop in my car... bear with me... To monitor some nitrous runs, What do I need to do this?I know I need a laptop, but what conectors? what software? its a 97 3.8l so its an OBD II right?

    Seriously, go to http://www.sffba.com - go to the forum there and look for the member named "NIACIN". He'll tell you all about it.

    He has the program.

    I do know that you need to buy the software AND the wire. Not cheap.

      You want the www.obd-2.com software and connector. I reccommend it very much. I bought the three-way connector (works on ANY OBD-II, not just GM, Ford, etc), with my student discount, for like $120 or so, don't remember. Got it on a touch screen ... makin' folks jealous ...

          Did you not see the link I posted to you about Diacom software? OBD1 is better than OBD2 IMHO, it's much less emmissions picky.
