  • Thrasher Forged Pistons?

I just got off the phone with Thrasher and have a few questions.

How far does the N/A piston sit out of the bore?

How many cc in the dish of the N/A piston?

Where/How do they change the compression ratio on the piston?

Basically I talked with them about getting Forged pistons that won't cause me to lose compression from the 9.4:1 to the 8.5:1 L67 pistons and these are a few questions I was asked that I don't have any idea on the answer to.

IMHO, thrasher is a crappy company to deal with.. You'd be better off trying weisco.. a member here has a hookup and could get you a good price.

I believe the pinston sticks out of the block .010" but that is not a precise measurement.

No idea how deep the dish is.

As for the differences between the L67 and L36 piston, Stefan would be the man to talk to about that.. he had both sets physically out of the car in front of him.. or at least his shop did.

    But I don't think he knows. :(

I'd really look into weisco over Thrasher.

When I just talked to Thrasher weisco is the company that makes the pistons for Thrasher so if we have a guy here that can get a deal on them then I'm all for that. I basically want to do what stefan did without losing compression thats my end result. Anyone else gimme info on what it would take to get a full piston and connecting rod assembly that will fit the L36 without sacrificing compression?
