  • Will the ls1 vavle springs and retainers work.

    I am looking at a set of Competition Cams 941-16 springs and 728-16 Titanium retainers will these work and if so will they be strong engough for a 206/218 .512/.528 114 lsa cam thanks for any help

      But will they work is the question i am getting them for a good deal.

        Also what kinda lift rates will the stock LS6 vavle springs handle

          I have 941's unfortunately.. I heard they break a lot... oh yea.. I also broke one too. they suck.

          Go with 916's or 918's.

            SLP makes a good set for the LS1's also. I can also get the Manley valve springs which are a little more expensive, but VERY nice.

            What about valves...which ones do the 3.8L V6 use?

              I dont think there are any aftermarket vavles but hey man did u find that cam price for me i emailed you also anyway u can put together a sweet package like u did for the 3.4L

                Once I hear back from my sales rep at Lunati, I will have some nice cams available. I will post specs when I get them.

                  Lunati told me they dont have any cams for the 3.8.

                      I was saying Lunati dont have cams for our cars. Those sites all cary compcams. I never said there are no cams for a V6. I wouldnt say that because I have one.


                      Slacker, just an update for you. I spoke with Tom at SSM to find out exactly what springs I have and these are the ones:
