Raising the redline

How would I be able to raise the redline. Besides moving the rev limiter what else needs to be done to do this safely?

I was just thinking about this because nitrous seems to pull very hard about 5500 RPM's.

stiffer/lighter valvetrain components help so you don't get any valve float such as titanium valve springs/retainers, hardended pushrods, aluminum roller rockers. make sure your injectors can accomodate the higher need for fuel. maybe getting your rotataing assembly(carnk, rods, pistons, flywheel) balanced to the sub-gram level, but that's kinda extreme. forged internals to handle the additional stress. upgrading the cooling system later down the line will help if you are gonna do more mods to your car since more combustion cycles will occur with a higher redline. can't think of much else.

Maybe if you're thinking of ballzout rev limiter raising, but if you're talking another 500 - then I can see new rockers and springs.
