  • Paging Magnus

I wrote to comp cams and they (a guy named Tim) gave me the part number 76-000-9 (hydraulic roller cam) and the price of 305.00. Is that what you payed? Seems rather high to me! Maybe not for the hydraulic though? Oh yeah, and also, will my car pass emissions ok with that cam and some p&p heads?

a hydraulic roller will cost quite a bit, not sure if it would be exactly that, but anything "roller" is quite a bit more expensive...

      yeup...

If you will pass emissions or not depends on the cam specs you choose.

Keith would you recommend any solid roller applications for our 3.8's? I wouldn't mind adjusting it every 5k-6k miles, but do you think it will stick alot? Worth it, in your opinion?

          I honsetly don't know...

I would suggest stay hydraulic roller for now.

Solid roller was just somethign that was floating through my head... just like buying a spare motor for cheap and going for 10's on nitrous with my current one.

          I need to chill. *sigh*

Will the cam you have pass emissions? Your using the 108IC of the two numbers you gave me right?

[EDIT] And hows the tuning going after the heads and cam?

I don't know if mine will pass or not.

              I have 212/212 112LS 110IC

              Tuning is going slow.

Do you even have to pass emissions? If so when? (maybe its before I will put the cam in, so I can make sure). Anyone else have a similar cam that has passed? Damn, it seems like theres a catch to everything. Maybe i'll just move to colorado!
