Haven't gotten it in the mail yet. Anyway, I just bought a house and settlement is going to be January 2nd. I'll put the spacer on the backburner for awhile. I'll try to have it installed by late march (after it gets here). I'm gonna have my hands full for a few months, and don't want to have the camaro torn apart during the process.
I plan that this project will take me a few extra days because things always break as I'm doing them. I live to say that Murphy's Law "What can go wrong, will!" DOES infact exisit. ;)

I think the benefit of top end would be very good for our cars. I got one coming and that with my ported heads and the rest of my mods should get me damn close to 260-275 range N/A

97 30th, I don't want to start a flame war, but don't get your hopes too high without a ridiculous cam.

I thought about trying to make these some time ago. Until I looked closer. The FWD L36 has an insert from the factory. What ZZP does is they replace the factory one with theirs. It is shorter and shaped a little better. The shorter runners helped increase top end power.

Now the RWD l36 already has pretty short runners. Now if you put an insert in there, it is going to lengthen them. THAT IS THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT ZZP DOES! I would expect someone to gain a little low end torque but lose horsepower on the top end. I don't think that is what most people want.

Thanks DEE. It makes sense to me, but I already ordered the spacer. Oh well, I'll install it later on in 2004 anyway. If I feel any kind of loss, it's coming off.
I have the lower intake in my basement already soaking in a bucket of water and degreaser to get all of the carbon and gunk off. It will be polished prior to installation along with the upper intake. Hopefully, if that makes a small hp increase (without the spacer), I'll be happy.
