This is such a hard question to answer..
There are so many variables.. cam specs.. head port work..
And.. not many people DO heads/cam over here.. or on any v6 f-body for that matter.. its not like on ls1tech where you can get accurate estimates..
most everything regarding gains here or on any v6 board will mostly be a guestimate.

that's cool magnus...i understand that completely, 3.4's a rarity to find internal work done to them...i just wanted an estimate...you know, in the range of 50-100 or something like that...i hopefully will have this done in the next month or so and let you all know how much it increased when i get it re-dynoed...

Okay, I'll try giving this one a shot. First, check out Nu-Tek Motorsports (sorry, don't have the link). Nick & his boys have been doing some nice 3.4 work for the past couple of years, and a few members on here have some of his stuff (Tiago, just to name one off the top of my head). I think he's waiting on a custom-grind cam at this point, as well. I don't believe he has any dyno #'s at this time, though. A few members have recently been discussing the cam that Crane makes for the 3.4L, but there are mixed opinions on whether the cam is much better than stock. Again, dyno #'s would be useful to see what kind of gains or losses are incurred there. Depending upon the cam specs, you'd want to get the computer re-programmed to better suit the new cam. Also, as for the heads, you can try a set of heads from a 2.8L Fiero, but I'm not sure if you'll see anything more than what you would stock (not sure what the diff's are, just know people have tried them in the past). Nu-Tek has heads for their 3.4 package, so you might want to check & see what they can do for you. Lastly, if you do all this, I'd look at ditching the stock plenum and pick up one such as the Nu-Tek piece w/the LT1 TB. Seems to be one of the weak points of the 3.4........Hope this is more helpful to you.

absolutely! that's great...i'll hollar at nu-tek
hadn't ever heardd of them before...but i'll check it out and see...i'm mainly trying to find ways to make the 3.4 fast...because especially around my home, there are alot of them , just waiting to go fast...and i have too many cars as is so i'll test it out on my 3.41993 240sx 5 speed, Super Hicas, LSD, Stock for now<br />Sold-1995 Red T-Top 3.4 Camaro<br />Totaled-1997 Jade Green Cavalier 2.2 auto

Nu-Tek used to be NRT. They also do some nice work for V8 F-bodies, so they shouldn't be hard to find.
